Saint Anthony School is proud to announce that our fourth and fifth graders who competed in January's Knowledge Master Open earned more than 150 points than our last competition and placed higher than 85 schools across the United States, Canada, and Asia while answering questions at the sixth grade level (one and two grade levels above their own!). The Knowledge Master Open is an academic enrichment activity that allows students to compete to answer 100 interdisciplinary questions against schools across the world! While we show improvement each time we compete, a 150 point increase is very impressive. This is a result of our team's ability to work as a cohesive unit to use what they know to thoughtfully consider the possibilities present in each question. Our school has so much to be proud of! Great job, everyone!
This academic enrichment program is available to students in grades 3-5. We are exploring the possibility of offering it to our Middle School, too.
Team-building skills are developed through answering interdisciplinary, curriculum-based, "Who Wants to be a Millionaire"-like questions using our interactive SMART board technology.
St. Anthony School competes against schools across the United States, Canada and Asia.
Even more information as well as daily questions are available on the Academic Hallmarks website. This is the company that provides the program to our school.
We would love any third, fourth, or fifth grader to participate. Let me know if you have any questions. My email is: jtavera@stanthonysschoolct.org
